| Advanced Map is a very good program, and it has many uses in the world of Pokemon Hacking. Starting here you can learn all of the basics and then through the forums you can learn even the advanced.
The Program is in our File Catalog on the Home Page. You can also Click Here.
When you download the program it should look something like this.
You wll need to click File > Open > Your ROM (I would suggest manually creating a backup ROM so that you have one to go back to if something happens, and believe me, things happen and you have to go back.)
Once you select your rom you will want to click "From Header"
Most of the important maps (All the towns and routs) are located in folder number 3. They all have their names, and they are easy to navigate. For now double click Pallet Town (3.0)
That's how you select a map.
It should look like this.
Notice that you are currently in the Map menu, and that there are tiles on the right of the screen.
You can click the tiles to change the map itself (Where you see Pallet Town). It's pretty self explanitory.
