So you've edited Pallet Town, and when you try to play it in your game everything is just messed up. You see people and you can't walk everywhere you should be able to, and you can walk in some places you shouldn't be able to.

Let's assume this is your new map.

Everything LOOKS fine, but there is an underlying layer. Actually there are a few. But we're only going to go into one of them now.

If you click on the "Movement Permisions" Tab you'll be able to see that there are lots of different colors and numbers.

These all have values that tell the game where they can and cannot move. To change these click the bar on the right and pick one of the many options. Of course if you just pick randomly, you won't actuallly get what you want. If you want a player to be able to walk there you need to choose [C] if don't want a player to be able to walk there choose [1].
When you're done it should look something like this.

Notice that the trees on the side don't allow the player to talk on them, but the trees on the bottom do allow the player to walk on them. This is because the game is designed to allow the player to walk behind treetops, rooftops, ect.

Lastly if you want an area of water to be surfable make the number [4]. That's all of the simple movements.
